abstract
The ability to independently adjust the phases of three sidebands obtained from the collinear Raman generator and spaced by molecular frequency to produce amplitude or frequency modulated light was demonstrated. The ability of the amplitude modulation (AM) to excite molecular oscillations enabled its detection. The AM-detection technique was employed to measure relative phase among Raman sidebands, as a function of the Raman detuning.
