Nuclear collisions in heteronuclear molecules driven by an ultrastrong laser field
- View All
We consider ultrashort and ultrastrong laser pulses applied to a gas of aligned heteronuclear molecules, where nuclei of different mass will acquire different velocities and collide, possibly producing fusion or emitting subattosecond bursts of X-rays. 2006 Optical Society of America.
