abstract
The effect of the deposition of thin Ge coatings on thin Sn and Tl films is reported. Tc for Sn is reduced while Tc for Tl is increased. An anomalous increase in Tc for Tl appears for approximately a monolayer coating of Ge which is interpreted as evidence for "surface superconductivity". The decrease in Tc for Sn is attributed to the removal of electrons from the Sn to form the contact potential. 1967.
