abstract
Ultrasonic velocity and attenuation was measured from 25 K to 37 K at pressures to 30 atm. Ultrasonic velocity on the vapor pressure curve is a smooth function of temperature and is significantly larger than reported hypersonic values. Attenuation in excess of the classical value is interpreted in terms of volume viscosity. 1970.
