Superconductivity in RNi2B2C (R = Dy, Er, Ho, Y) films grown via pulsed laser ablation

Thin films of RNi2B2C (R = Dy, Er, Ho and Y) have been fabricated by Pulsed Laser Ablation onto MgO substrates held at temperatures ranging from 625 C to 800 C. No post deposition annealing was done. Resistance vs Temperature data from 20 K to 0.35 K are presented. The superconducting transition temperature (Tc) is strongly affected by deposition conditions. 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
