abstract
Thermopower measurements are reported for two similar amorphous alloys, one with = -1 d/dT<0, the other with >0. The thermopower is negative and only approximately linear in temperature for both samples. The sign and relative magnitudes of the thermopower are in disagreement with the diffraction model neglecting the energy dependence of the t-matrix as has been widely done to explain the thermopower of amorphous metals with <0. 1981.
