abstract
THE AUTHORS CONSIDER THE POSSIBILITY OF INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF A CATALYST BED OPERATING IN ADIABATIC MODE WITH PERIODIC TEMPERATURE VARIATION IN THE ORIGINAL MIXTURE. THE EFFECT OF TYPICAL CONTROL PARAMETERS ON THE MEAN DEGREE OF CONVERSION AFTER A CYCLE IS STUDIED. A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THEOPTIMUM CONTROL AND THE DYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF A HETEROGENEOUS REACTOR IS DEMONSTRATED.
