Applying unified fracture design to natural gas wells Academic Article uri icon

abstract

  • The unified fracture design applied to natural gas wells was discussed. This approach to design hydraulic fracture treatments optimized fracture dimensions to maximize productivity index. It was found that the resulting fracture conductivity must be adjusted for non-Darcy effects prevalent in natural gas wells. The adjustments required consideration of flowing bottom hole pressure.
