abstract

  • A quantitative description of the hydrochloric acid initiated polymerization of caprolactam (CL) based on the previously proposed mechanism is given. Essential parameters were identified by strategy mainly based on principal component analysis. Our kinetic model is in good agreement with experiments and describes specific features of the kinetics of the process with the suggested parameters. 1988 Springer-Verlag.
