abstract
An improved fracture design aimed at avoiding proppant flowback in tight gas completions is described. Resin coating materials and similar stabilizers are used in this design in order to prevent proppant flowback. These products are found to increase the friction angle between grains, contributing to greater pack stability. The empirical and theoretical models used to predict proppant flowback such as Stimlab Correlation, and the Proppant-Free Wedge Model are also discussed.
