Spin-correlated position modulations of a polarized proton beam

abstract

• We have investigated position modulations of the polarized proton beam at the Texas A&M cyclotron correlated with spin state. Position modulations as large as 50 nm were measured with secondary electron emission beam centroid monitors. Previous measurements lacked the sensitivity necessary to see such small effects. 1986.
