abstract
The [Formula Presented] proton transfer reaction has been measured at an incident energy of 26.3 MeV. Angular distributions for proton transfer to the ground state and excited states at [Formula Presented] and 3.948 MeV in [Formula Presented] are analyzed within the framework of the modified DWBA. Asymptotic normalization coefficients (ANCs) defining the amplitude of the tails of the [Formula Presented] bound-state wave functions in the [Formula Presented] channel are extracted that are in excellent agreement with values found previously with the [Formula Presented] reaction. We conclude that [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented] for the virtual decay [Formula Presented] These are necessary for the analysis of the [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented] reactions to extract the ANCs for [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented] which determine the direct radiative capture cross sections [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented] at astrophysical energies. 2000 The American Physical Society.
