abstract
This paper describes the application of the transient wellbore/reservoir model developed in Part I. The model allows forward simulation of wellhead pressure and temperature and bottomhole pressure as a function of time. Forward simulation makes possible the ability to estimate bottomhole pressure (BHP) accurately from wellhead measurements where downhole measurements may not be cost effective. The simulator aid both test design and interpretation. Application of the simulator to field examples helped gain insight into the mechanics of transient flow. Two field examples are used to illustrate its capabilities. Good agreement is noted between the computed and measured BHPs for both types of simulation.
