abstract

• We present solution methods to the problem of synchronizing parallel machining operations in order to avoid overlapping tool changes. The proposed algorithm utilizes results from the economic lot scheduling problem and modifies the machining speeds of the various operations in accordance with the minimum machining cost objective.
