Compared the need satisfaction of 87 black certified public accountants (cpas) with 131 other cpas, using a need satisfaction questionnaire by L. A. Porter as a measure. Findings indicate that black cpas generally reported more need deficiency in all items than other ss. In both groups, self-actualization and compensation needs were the most deficient.
