Mössbauer spectra narrowing by spinning magnetic field

Mössbauer spectra under the presence of inhomogeneous broadening due to dipole-dipole interaction have been studied. Floquet state perturbation theory has been used for the density matrix analysis of a simple model. The parameters of 57Fe are used for simulations. We have shown that a spinning magnetic field can eliminate inhomogeneous broadening. Application to Mössbauer spectroscopy is discussed. © 2004 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
