abstract

  • Potassium vapor in magnetic field driven on D1-transition by circular polarized radiation of Ti:sapphire or dye laser is investigated. As soon as lower dynamic Stark level crosses the ground state, radiation at radio frequency with corresponding circular polarization will appear as a direct experimental evidence of field induced level crossing and spontaneous relaxation from the ground atomic state. Circular polarized probe field with frequency directed along the magnetic field will not interact with atoms until the driving field provides level crossing.
