abstract
Kaon azimuthal distributions in Au+Au collisions at 1.0 GeV/nucleon are analysed using the relativistic transport model that includes explicitly the kaon degree of freedom. We find that the kaon azimuthal distributions in the target (and projectile) rapidity region are sensitive to the input kaon potential in the transport model and thus provide useful information on kaon properties in dense matter. Near mid-rapidity, the potential effects on kaon azimuthal distributions are, however, marginal.
