Use of the (Li7, Be7) Reaction to Measure the Mass of Na26 Academic Article

abstract

• The reaction Mg26(Li7, Be7)Na26 at E(Li7)=36 MeV has been used to measure the mass excess of Na26; a value of - 6.8530.030 MeV was obtained. This result differs by 0.3-0.8 MeV from those previously determined from -decay end-point measurements. 1972 The American Physical Society.
