abstract

• A fast tape transport system has been developed for transporting samples collected from the ion beam of an isotope separator to a low background area. The unusual features of the system are its tape speed (up to 585 cm/s) and the fact that the tape system operates entirely in air except for the collection point on the tape at the end of the beam line. 1976.
