abstract
The Q-value difference between reactions 14N(3He, t)14O and 26Mg(3He, t)26Al* (1.06 MeV) was measured with 150 eV precision by a new technique that applies generally to any reaction in which the projectile and ejectile differ in charge. The QEC values for the superallowed 0+ 0+ -decays of 14O and 26Alm are thus established to differ by 1401.63 0.15 keV. The corresponding Ft-values are equal to (98) parts in 104, supporting calculated electromagnetic corrections and the expectations of CVC. 1982.
