abstract
Superallowed beta decay of nuclei with A 62 was studied. Experiments are underway to test and improve this result through decay studies of odd-odd N = Z nuclei with A 62. By series of shell-model calculations it was found that many weak Gamow-Teller branches were expected to compete with the superallowed branch in each of nuclei. It was concluded that many of the individual branches would be weak, though the total Gamow-Teller strength was significant.
