abstract
2015, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. Scalar and tensor polarizabilities of 5D3/2 and 5D5/2 levels of rubidium were measured in a cloud of cold atoms. The measurements were carried out by using the shift of spectral lines corresponding to 5P5D transitions in a constant external electric field. The following values of polarizabilities were obtained: S(5D3/2) = 18 400 (75), T(5D3/2) = 750 (30), (5D5/2) = 18 600 (76), and T(5D5/2) = 1440 (60).
