abstract

• Don't be square: The title cages were synthesized by cooperative assembly of four-connected units and mixtures of two bridging dicarboxylate ligands (see pic-ture). This work may open a new synthetic path towards complex coordination polyhedra that are inaccessible through reported synthetic procedures. 2009 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
