abstract
The correlation of symmetry with electronic stability of the coloring of an extended network with symmetry equivalent positions is studied by using the 48 2 net found in MB 2 C 2 (M = Ca, La, etc.) as an example. The results are readily extended to other systems, and the conclusions are compared with those derived from the moments method. 1986, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
