abstract

• The controllable mechanical movement of either the polyether macrocycle or the tetracationic cyclophane in a doubly bistable water-soluble [2]catenane can be accomplished by using orthogonal external stimulia-redox and amine/acid, respectivelya-in aqueous media . 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
