abstract
Cs+- selective ion exchange and magnetic ordering in a three-dimensional framework uranyl vanadium (IV) phosphate was studied. The synthesis of K [(UO2)(VO)4H1.52(PO 4)5] was achieved by reacting UO2(NO 3)2.6H2O with V metal phosphoric acid, and KCI under mild conditions. Confirmation of the +4 oxidation state for vanadium was provided by magnetic susceptibility measurements on Rb-UVP-2. This work provides further expansion of the structural building units that can be used to construct three-dimensional uranyl containing frameworks.
