Crystal structure of Ca0.1667Na3.6667FeP2O8F

Ca0.1667Na3.6667FeP2O8(P3,a=13.723(2) A ̊, Z=6, V=1121.8(3) A ̊3) was prepared by the flux technique. The structure was solved by single crystal methods using 1493 observed reflections (R = 0.031, Rw=0.041). The structure consists of octahedrally coordinated Fe atoms alternating with sodium octahedra along the c-axis. A majority of sodium ions and the Ca ions are located in rather restricted one-dimensional tunnels running along the c-axis. © 1994.
