abstract

• For molecular magnetic materials, 1 is the prototype of a stepped stack in which the different paramagnetic building blocks are covalently linked. Such a structure leads to antiferromagnetism. 1 can be considered to be a fragment of a polymer, but the experimental advantages of uniform composition and solubility that it offers allow examination by cyclovoltammetry and NMR spectroscopy.
