abstract
A survey of journal articles appearing in the Psychological Abstracts from 1969-1973 was made for purposes of identifying those psychological instruments that were most often used in research with adolescents (defined as ages 13-19). Over 400 separate instruments were used in that 5-yr time period. Of these, 32 were singled out due to their having been cited at least 10 times. A breakdown by types of tests was made, and implications of such a finding were noted.
