Thermally Tunable Ferroelectric Thin Film Photonic Crystals Conference Paper

abstract

• Thermally tunable PhCs are fabricated from ferroelectric thin films. Photonic band structure and temperature dependent diffraction are calculated by FDTD. 50% intensity modulation is demonstrated experimentally. This device has potential in active ultra-compact optical circuits. 2008 Optical Society of America.
