abstract

  • Numerical analyses of the Izod impact test for polymers are used to compare the effect of different sets of material parameters. Full 3D finite strain transient analyses are carried out using a nonlinear polymer constitutive relation. The predicted differences in the overall load-deflection response and in the evolution of the field quantities in the notch region are discussed. Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2008.
