abstract
In this poster, we present our initial results on designing a parallel programing framework to support advanced signal processing algorithms for peak detection in Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) data. We propose the PAMM programming model and implement a parallel LC-MS peak detection algorithm (BPDA2d) that requires Gibbs sampling. Our initial measurements show that the parallel code is able to achieve significant speedup while offering fault tolerance. 2011 IEEE.
