abstract
Auditory graphics are a useful method of presenting statistical data but little research has investigated which dimensions of sound are best for these displays. This research directly compared subjects' performances for evaluating the statistical properties of auditory box plots using different dimensions of sound. Results show that when used alone Pitch resulted in the worst performance and Timing resulted in the best.
